Existing lawns can be replaced with new turf or new lawns created from scratch. These can be shaped as required to fit the overall garden design and edged with stone or concrete sets to produce a neat edge allowing easy mowing and preventing the lawn spreading.
Planting beds can be built at ground level or alternatively raised a few feet off the ground to provide easy access for the less mobile. Raised beds are generally built using sleepers, treated timber or brick built walls, ground beds are simply a continuation of the lawn separated by edging. Timber trellis panels fixed to posts can be used as screen to separate or hide areas or simply to support climbing plants.
